GOVERNOR ASKS BOARD OF REGENTS TO APPOINT LIAISON
The Nevada Board of Regents today sent a letter
distancing themselves from incendiary and
fictitious accusations made by Nevada State
Higher Education Chancellor Jim Rogers in a
recent newspaper editorial in the Nevada Appeal
newspaper.
Governor Gibbons sent a letter to the Nevada
Board of Regents vehemently protesting
Chancellor Rogers’ false statements. Because it
is imperative that the Governor’s Office and the
Board of Regents work cooperatively for the
benefit of all Nevadans during this economic
crisis, and because Chancellor Rogers has
focused all of his energy on personal attacks,
Governor Gibbons has asked that the Board of
Regents appoint a liaison to work with the
Governor and the Legislature.
