Schochet, Chairman of the Renewable Energy Transmission
Access Advisory Committee (RETAAC), as the Committee
presents their Phase II report. This report includes new
recommendations for harnessing the power of renewable
energy in Nevada and updates on implementation of
recommendations made by RETAAC Phase I report submitted
December 31, 2007. |

Governor Gibbons and Rob Vugteveen, Project Manager,
Northwest Territorial Mint present the first coin minted
in the company’s newest facility in Dayton, Nevada.
Northwest Territorial Mint is expected to employee more
than 100 local residents in its 160,000 square foot
building. The company’s expansion was a result of a
partnership and collaborative effort with the state’s
business and political leaders including, Governor
Gibbons, Lt. Governor Brian Krolicki, State Senator Mark
Amodei, Assemblymen Tom Grady, Bonnie Parnell, and James
Settelmeyer, as well as Rob Hooper of Northern Nevada
Development Authority. |

Admiral Mark Fox during Navy Week – September 14 – 20,
2009. Reno, Nevada is one of 21 cities in the country
selected to recognize the contributions of the United
States Navy to the security of our nation. Also
attending is Commander Mark Behning of the USS Nevada,
an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine that is the
fourth Navy vessel to be named for the Silver State. |

members of our military. |
