WHEREAS, Robert Jenkins is retiring from the Department of Corrections, Stores Division, on October 30th, 2009, after 27 years of loyal, diligent and exceptional public service to the State of Nevada; and 

WHEREAS, Robert Jenkins was a Correctional Officer for seven years before being injured on the job, after rehabilitation, Robert Jenkins then came to work for the store system as a Retail Storekeeper in 1991; and

WHEREAS, Robert Jenkins has earned the respect of his colleagues for his ability to consistently meet Department and Division objectives by methodically and energetically tackling any changes or challenging projects; and

WHEREAS, Robert Jenkins’ skills and experience as a supervisor have been tapped periodically throughout his career to provide training for both individuals and for all staff; and

WHEREAS, Robert Jenkins has earned the respect of his colleagues for his ability and commitment to the Department of Corrections, Store Division and its goals by his understanding and compassion for its clientele; and

WHEREAS, Robert Jenkins has distinguished himself through commitment and service throughout the years, and will sincerely be missed, both professionally and personally by all who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with him; and

WHEREAS, Robert Jenkins has displayed exceptional commitment and dedication with the State of Nevada, I would like to thank and commend him for his many years of devoted and honorable service and extend our best wishes for a healthy, happy and fulfilling retirement;
