WHEREAS; Nevada has no higher commitment than to the future and well being of our children; and

WHEREAS; Nevada’s children thrive within a family providing the foundation of love and support of both parents regardless of marital status; and

WHEREAS; the State of Nevada encourages all Nevadans to work together to fulfill our fundamental responsibilities to our children; and

WHEREAS; the Nevada Child Support Enforcement Program, in partnership with county and federal agencies, parents, legislators, judges, healthcare professionals, and the many other Child Support Professionals in the State of Nevada, has been entrusted with the responsibility of helping to secure the resources and assistance our children need to succeed and grow into healthy and productive adults; and

WHEREAS; the Nevada Child Support Enforcement Program manages over one hundred and twenty one thousand cases and in State fiscal year 2009 collected more than one hundred and ninety million dollars in child support obligations to provide for the well being of children around the world; and

WHEREAS; the State of Nevada honors both its responsible parents and child support professionals and the hard work and dedication it takes to make a difference in the lives of children and families;
