Members of Governor Gibbons’ Nevada Climate Change
Advisory committee visited Nevada Solar One, located
south of Las Vegas near Boulder City, on Thursday,
December 19 2007. Nevada Solar One is the third
largest solar thermal power plant in the world,
generating 65MW, as of June 2007. It is the first
solar thermal power plant built in the United States
in more than 16 years.
